Fr Michael Zerafa, art historian, interview on Salt and Light

Fr Michael Zerafa, Dominican art historian and specialist in the art of  Fra Angelico and author of The Caravaggio Diaries, is interviewed by Salt and Light television on a recent visit to Toronto. He was involved in the recovery of the painting of St Jerome by Caravaggio stolen from the Co-Cathedral of St John in Valetta, which also has the same painter’s the Beheading of St John the Baptist. Both paintings were important in developing chiaroscuro.  Here he discusses his interest in art history and catechesis, Caravaggio, and Leonardo da Vinci.
